The peer-reviewed journal Acta Facultatis Philosophicae Universitatis Ostraviensis Studia Germanistica continues in the tradition of the collections of studies published by the Faculty's Department of German Studies in 2006 and 2007. Studia Germanistica was launched as a peer-reviewed journal in 2008 and has been issued biannually since 2009. From the very beginning, all papers submitted to Studia Germanistica have undergone a process of standard independent double-blind peer review. The members of the editorial board are all renowned scholars of German language, literature and culture based at universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. Studia Germanistica only accepts original papers that have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
